DALLAS – Down five points at the half, the Memphis Tigers tied the game at 41 at the start of the second half, but RV/RV SMU then went on a 10-minute scoring run that powered the Mustangs to a 73-57 win Sunday afternoon in Dallas.
The loss snapped Memphis' (15-9, 9-5 American Athletic Conference) six-game winning streak. The Tigers have won nine of their last 13 games. SMU (19-6, 10-3 AAC) has won 15-straight games at Moody Coliseum, which is the 10th-longest active streak in the nation.
Lester Quinones led the Tigers with 13 points, and he hit three 3-pointers.
