SMU scored two goals in the first five minutes of the second half on their way to a 3-1 win over Memphis Wednesday night at Mike Rose Soccer Complex. The Tigers dropped to 1-1-1 in conference play and will hit the road again to play Temple Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
"I think the first half was sort of a chess match and it was sort of a stalemate. But its criminal for us to start the second half and give up two goals in five minutes," Memphis coach Richard Mulrooney said. "I give SMU credit but you can't start halves like that and expect to recover against a team like that.
