MURRAY, Ky. – Whatever it is about the University of Memphis rifle and competing on the road, it needs to be bottled and brought back home to the Bluff City.
The Tigers used solid performances from freshman Taylor Gibson and sophomore Arielle Kimm to lead the squad to a second-place finish at annual Withrow Invitational at Murray State. The last time Memphis had a first- or second-place finish at the Withrow Invitational was in January 2005 (2004-05 season).
Memphis shot an aggregate of 4677 (2319 smallbore/2358 air rifle) for its second-highest mark of the season.
