MEMPHIS, Tenn. – University of Memphis Senior Athletic Trainer Larry Reynolds has earned the prestigious Backbone Award for his efforts in the athletic department and working with the Tigers football program.
Given annually by the Southeast Athletic Trainers' Association (SEATA), the Backbone Award is designed to recognize an assistant athletic trainer who has played a major role as a "backbone" to the head athletic trainer. Reynolds earned the Backbone Award for the entire state of Tennessee in 2020, which was presented by the Tennessee Athletic Trainers' Society (TATS).
"We are so proud of Larry for receiving the Backbone Award," Memphis Associate Athletic Director for Sports Medicine and Head Football Athletic Trainer Darrell Turner said.
