MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Memphis men's soccer senior forward Raul Gonzalez has been named to the American Athletic Conference Preseason All-Conference team, the league office announced Tuesday.
Gonzalez started all 17 matches and served as the Tigers most potent attacking player last season. He earned first-team American all-conference honors after scoring a team-high seven goals.
The Ocean Springs, Miss. native, he led Memphis with 16 points scored and was one of only three Tiger players to have started every match. Gonzalez finished second on the team with with 1,574 minutes played.
The highlight of the season for Gonzalez was scoring his first career hat trick in the win over Central Arkansas.
