EUGENE, Ore. – University of Memphis track and field's Ashley Pryke took third place in the women's javelin in second-day action at the 2017 NCAA Outdoor Championships Thursday. The national meet is hosted by the University of Oregon at the Ducks' historic Hayward Field.
Pryke, a sophomore, won bronze with a school-record throw of 186-9 (56.93m). It was the fourth time in the 2017 outdoor campaign that Pryke re-set her own school record. Her previous school-record mark was 181-0 (55.18m), which she set in winning the 2017 American Athletic Conference women's javelin crown in mid-May.
