Starting this fall, University of Memphis men's and women's basketball players can receive one of the highest cost of attendance stipends in the country as part of the school's plan to keep pace with the nation's top athletic programs.
The U of M athletic department announced Friday that its men's and women's basketball players will receive a full cost of attendance of $5,373 for the 2015-16 academic year — the second-highest amount in the American Athletic Conference (Cincinnati has the highest at $6,082) and more than any school in the Big Ten or Big 12, according to a CBS Sports database.
