MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Behind its highest run total of the season, Memphis baseball grabbed an early lead and didn't look back as the Tigers beat the WKU Hilltoppers 9-6 on Thursday afternoon at Nick Denes Field.
Four Tiger players collected multi-hit efforts. Memphis was aggressive on the base paths, swiping a season-high four bases. On the mound, junior Danny Denz picked up the win in his second start of the year. Colton Neel, who scored two runs on offense, notched his second save of the season.
Hunter Goodman (3-for-5), Jason Santana (2-for-5), Alec Trela (2-for-4) and Cale Hennemann (2-for-4) each enjoyed multiple hits on the day.
