No. 9 Arkansas Outslugs Memphis in Fayetteville

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Memphis and No. 9 Arkansas combined 23 runs on 23 hits as the Razorbacks won 16-7 Tuesday at Baum Stadium. The Tigers (21-16) and Razorbacks (30-8) will square off again Wednesday at Dickey-Stephens Park in North Little Rock.

Andy Bowman blasted the Tigers into an early lead with a three-run home run in the top of the first inning. Bowman's two-out bomb was hit to straight-away center and scored Chris Carrier and Alec Trela.

Arkansas brought home three runs in the bottom of the second to tie the game up off of Memphis starting pitcher Jonathan Bowlan.
