OXFORD, Miss. – The No. 52 Memphis Tiger women's tennis team fell 5-2 on the road Wednesday night at No. 51 Ole Miss.
It was a tough night for the Tigers (0-3) on the court as the Rebels swept the doubles match and then took four of the first five singles to secure the win.
Emily Meyer was the first Tiger to pick up a victory at the No. 4 singles position as she swept Ole Miss' Kelsey Mize 6-2, 6-1.
In the top spot, Aran Teixidó Garcia won a hard-fought battle in a tiebreaker in the first set, 7-6 (9-7) before using the momentum to sweep the match 6-2 in the second set.
