OXFORD, Miss. – Memphis sophomore Mya Jones scored with one-tenth of a second left in the first half, but Ole Miss countered with three second-half goals to defeat the No. 23 Tigers 3-1 at the Ole Miss Soccer Stadium on Monday.
Jones' goal on a blast from 15 yards near the right corner of the penalty box was the fourth of her career and first of the season. It was assisted by Stella Downing.
The Rebels' three goals came in the first 13:30 of the second half, beginning with a pair by Haleigh Stackpole at 47:50 and 52:59, the latter coming on a set-piece just outside the top of the penalty area.
