MEMPHIS, Tenn. – No. 11/10 Memphis women's soccer capped a perfect regular-season home schedule after downing SMU by a final of 2-1 on Sunday afternoon at Park Avenue Campus.
Despite being outshot in the first half, the Tigers posted both scores in the opening 45 minutes. Freshman Saorla Miller broke a 1-1 tie with a top-drawer score in the 41st minute of the match to help propel the Tigers to the win.
With the victory, Memphis (15-1-1, 7-0-1) secured a first-round bye in next week's AAC Tournament. The win also marked the first time in program the Tigers closed the regular-season home slate with a perfect record (9-0-0).
