MEMPHIS, Tenn.– Memphis softball player Gracie Morton had quite the stat line for the Blues City Classic where she led the team at the plate and earned herself a second consecutive American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll award, the conference announced Monday.
Morton, a senior outfielder from Burelson, Texas, played and started in all five games for the Tigers this past weekend where she went 8-15 from the plate for a .471 BA. Morton was responsible for scoring eight of the team's 18 runs and struck out just once in her 17 plate appearances.
