MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – In preparation for its dual-match slate, Memphis men's tennis capped tournament play at the LaLance Invite, hosted by Middle Tennessee.
Competing against in-state foes Middle Tennessee, Belmont and Vanderbilt, Memphis posted 18 singles wins and nine doubles victories throughout the weekend.
Individually, James Story, Jeremy Taylor and Patrick Sydow swept their weekend slate in singles play, with Sydow earning straight-set wins in each decision.
In doubles play, a mixed lineup yielded two wins on Friday, four on Saturday and three on Sunday. Sydow and Jan Pallares claimed three wins in doubles play.
