MEMPHIS, Tenn. – University of Memphis men's soccer head coach Richard Mulrooney was inducted into the San Jose Earthquakes Hall of Fame after a celebration during halftime against the Chicago Fire on May 18.
Mulrooney was drafted by the then-San Jose Clash with the third overall pick in the 1999 MLS Draft after a Hall of Fame career at Creighton University. He found himself starting almost immediately, as Mulrooney was named a starter in 25 of his 32 rookie-season matches.
In his six seasons with the Earthquakes, Mulrooney tallied four goals and 45 assists, the second-most assists in Earthquakes history.
