MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The San Jose Earthquakes announced on Monday that men's soccer head coach Richard Mulrooney will be inducted into the Earthquakes Hall of Fame during halftime of the team's match against the Chicago ire on Saturday, May 18. Mulrooney played for the Earthquakes for six seasons, from 1999-2004.
Mulrooney was drafted by the then-San Jose Clash with the third overall pick in the 1999 MLS Draft after a Hall of Fame career at Creighton University. Starting almost immediately, Mulrooney was named a starter in 25 of the 32 matches in which he appeared during his rookie season.
