Men’s soccer falls to Northern Kentucky

Calvin Murphy’s header in the 64th minute gave Northern Kentucky a 1-0 victory over the Memphis Tigers men’s soccer team Monday afternoon at Mike Rose Soccer Complex.

"Another tough one to swallow. It was another goal on a set play. We talked about it all week and we gave up another one," Memphis coach Richard Mulrooney said after the loss. "There is an issue with it and we have to figure it out. We will but it cost us the game again today.”

It’s the second loss for the Tigers in two games this season. Memphis fell despite outshooting the Northern Kentucky 13-9 in the game, including 10-5 in the second half.
