SHREVEPORT, La. – Led by 5-under 67, three University of Memphis golfers shot sub-70 rounds on the final day of the David Toms Intercollegiate at Southern Trace Country Club to carry the Tigers to a second-place finish.
Memphis shot 9-under 279 Sunday to close the 54-hole event at 26-under 838, or 37 strokes behind runaway champion LSU. Two LSU players – Trey Winstead and Hayden White – shared medalist honors at 17-under 199, two strokes better than teammate and third-place finisher Garrett Barber.
Jackson shot 70-69-67 for a total of 10-under 206 and finished in a tie for seventh.
