MEMPHIS, Tenn. – University of Memphis men's basketball coach has announced the signing of Birmingham, Alabama native Jamal Johnson to a National Letter of Intent (NLI).
Johnson is ranked No. 111 by Rivals.com, No. 151 by 247sports, and is the No. 8 combo guard in the country as rated by 247 sports.
Known as an athletic combo guard with a high basketball IQ, the 6-4, 170-pound Johnson averaged 18.1 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 4.3 assists per game as a junior for Spain Park High School, and helped the squad reach the Alabama Class 7A state semifinals.
