MEMPHIS, Tenn. – University of Memphis junior Kyvon Davenport netted a team-high 19 points and added seven boards and three blocked shots to lift the "new-look" Tigers to a 101-78 men's basketball exhibition game victory over LeMoyne-Owen at FedExForum Thursday.
Davenport led five Tigers scoring in double figures, with four of those being newcomers to the program in 2017-18. Kareem Brewton Jr., another Tigers newcomer, nearly posted a double-double with 11 points and nine assists. Freshman Jamal Johnson scored 14 points, and freshman Victor Enoh added 11 points and six boards.
Junior Jeremiah Martin, one of three returnees from 2016-17, scored 14 points and had four steals.
