STORRS, Conn. – The Tigers softball team rebounded to take game three against UConn, using home runs from and to propel Memphis to the 3-1 victory Sunday afternoon.
The Tigers improve to 21-19 on the season, with a 3-6 conference record.
Once again, Memphis tallied the first runs of the game. battled to a full count before reaching base on a fielding error. Threatt stepped up to the plate and launched the first pitch she saw over the fence, tying the team lead with six home runs on the year.
The defenses of both teams held fast for the next several innings, with neither team able to generate any offense.
