Memphis Signs Four to Midyear NLIs

University of Memphis first-year football coach Mike Norvell and the Tigers signed four junior college transfers to midyear National Letters of Intent on Wednesday, the first day of the Midyear JC Transfer period which runs through Jan. 15, 2016.

Memphis signed safety Jonathan Cook (Garden City Community College) and quarterback Riley Ferguson (Coffeyville Community College) along with offensive linemen Harneet Gill (Butler Community College) and Jocelee "Lio" Lafaele (Riverside City College).

Cook (6-0, 198) notched 61 total tackles including 5.5 for lost yards, forced a fumble and recovered another as a sophomore. During the year, he intercepted two passes and had six pass breakups.
