MEMPHIS, Tenn. – University of Memphis' posted the team's top smallbore and air rifle scores, but it wasn't enough in the Tigers rifle squad's setback to Ole Miss.
The match was Memphis' second at its new on-campus home, the Memphis Rifle Facility in South Hall.
The Tigers, ranked No. 11 in the Collegiate Rifle Coaches Association (CRCA) poll, were unable to find a rhythm in the match against their Mid-South and Great American Conference (GARC) rival Ole Miss. The No. 13 Rebels won 4640-4615 and also swept both disciplines. Ole Miss out-shot Memphis 2297-2279 in smallbore and 2343-2336 in air rifle.
