Memphis rallied from a 1-0 deficit to pick up a 2-1 win over Georgia State in the final nonconference match of the season Tuesday night at Mike Rose Soccer Complex. The Tigers (3-7-2, 1-3-1 AAC) fired off 16 shots and forced 10 saves out of the Panthers' goalkeeper.
"At the end of the day we got the win and it's important confidence wise going into the USF match," Memphis head coach Richard Mulrooney said. "Georgia State is a solid team and I'm glad we didn't play another minute. We were creating some opportunities tonight and seeing that gives me hope we can score more goals.
