  • Nicholls upped the lead to 5-0 in the fourth on an RBI groundout by 1B Edgar Alvarez
  • The Tigers finally got to Nicholls in the fifth after the Colonels went to the bullpen in relief of RHP Nick Heckman (ND)
  • LHP Josh Mancuso gave up a two-run home run to 3B Logan Kohler in the frame and then departed for RHP Evan Keith, who stranded two runners in scoring position to end the inning ahead 5-2
  • The Tigers' five-run sixth inning proved to be the difference, as Kohler plated a run with a groundout, DH Jacob Compton scored on a wild pitch, 2B Austin Baskin scored on an error, while 1B Chris Swanberg's two-run home run gave Memphis a 7-5 lead
  • Both Swanberg and LF Ian Bibiloni picked up insurance RBIs in the eighth, while Kendrick worked the final four innings out of the Memphis bullpen to pick up the win in the 9-6 victory
