CINCINNATI, Ohio – The University of Memphis men's golf team placed fifth out of 13 teams in the program's season-opening Bearcat Invitational on Tuesday. The Tigers shot an 860 (+8) for the three rounds as a team. No. 75-ranked Louisville won the tournament total of 845 (-7).
"Overall, I'm disappointed we weren't in contention, but the first round put us in a tough position and being the first round of the year with three new players, I can wrap my head around it," head coach Blake Smart said following the round.
