MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Memphis allowed a four-run sixth inning and lost 11-5 to Arkansas State Tuesday night at FedExPark. The Tigers (9-15) are scheduled to host Ole Miss Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at AutoZone Park.
Six different pitchers threw for Memphis in the game and combined to walk eight batters and hit five batters. Bryan Cruse tossed three scoreless innings of relief for his career long outing.
Arkansas State opened the scoring with an unearned run in the top of the first inning. The leadoff batter bunted for a base hit and went to second base on an errant throw.
