TAMPA, FL – The Memphis softball team dropped game one against South Florida, 5-0, on Friday afternoon. The Tigers (8-27) were unable to capitalize with runners on base through the game.
"I thought we showed some good stuff, we're getting some better quality starts out of our pitchers and coming up with some key hits when we need to, we keep talking about that." Said head coach Stephanie VanBrakle Prothro. "Softball is simple, pitching and defense win games. We need to continue to do better there and find ways to help ourselves."
