NEW ORLEANS — Memphis dropped its final road game of the 2020 season 35-21 against Tulane at Yulman Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Memphis (6-3, 4-3 AAC) trailed 21-14 at halftime and turned the ball over on downs twice in the second half while Tulane (6-5, 3-5) was perfect on fourth down and produced several big plays to hold off the Tigers.
"They took it to us," said Memphis coach Ryan Silverfield. "The credit goes to Tulane. We didn't find a way to do what we needed to do and get a win."
Tigers undone by fourth down, big plays
Tulane converted two fourth-down attempts in the first half, both of which kept touchdown drives alive.
