Memphis was dealt its second loss of the season with a 68-64 defeat at the hands of UT Arlington. Ricky Tarrant, Jr. led the Tigers in scoring with 21 points for his second double-figure scoring game of the season.
Tarrant was 12-of-12 from the free-throw line to lead the Tigers' comeback attempt. Avery Woodson was the only other Memphis player to score in double figures, with 11 points. Shaq Goodwin scored eight points and pulled down 19 total rebounds, the second most of his career.
UTA was led by Kevin Hervey's 22 points and 11 rebounds.
