MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis has teamed up with Kroger to help fight hunger for the Tigers' opening game against Nicholls on Saturday, Sept. 4 at 6:00 p.m. CT.
The Zero Hunger Zero Waste Game presented by Kroger will feature discounted tickets for sale for $10, with $1 of each ticket going to the Mid-South Food Bank.
This season, all tickets will be made available online via a QR code fans can scan with their phones at local area Kroger stores.
"Kroger has been a longstanding partner of the Tigers, and we join them in their ongoing commitment to help curb hunger in our community," said Todd Kucinski, general manager for Tiger Sports Properties, Memphis Athletics' multimedia rightsholder and local LEARFIELD team.
