AUBURN, Ala. – University of Memphis' and set school records in their respective events to pace the Tigers' effort in first-day action at Auburn's War Eagle Invitational Friday. The meet continues Saturday with an 11:30 a.m. (CT) start for field events, followed by the running events at 12 p.m. (CT).
McMiller set the school record in the women's hammer, and Sandwell in the women's 3000-meter steeplechase.
McMiller, a Kansas City, Mo., native, set the hammer school record with a throw of 204-9 (62.41m), surpassing the previous mark of 200-3 (61.03m) set by teammate three weeks ago.
