NEW ORLEANS, La. –University of Memphis track and field's DeeNia McMiller was awarded All-America honors by the U.S. Track and Field/Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), the organization announced Tuesday. The All-America accolade was the first of McMiller's career.
The junior is one of 13 athletes from the American Athletic Conference to receive All-America accolades and also is one of seven AAC female athletes to be honored.
The USTFCCCA adjusted this year's selection criteria for All-America status to encompass all individual student-athletes and the four student-athletes on relay lineups that were included on the official championships start list.
