BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – DeeNia McMiller finished her final indoor track and field season Friday by becoming a first-team All-American from her weight throw performance at the 2022 NCAA Division I Indoor Track and Field Championships.
McMiller finished in fifth place with a top attempt of 23.03m. She was one of six American Athletic Conference athletes to earn All-America honors.
This performance follows her gold medal finish at the conference championships in February (24.08m), which earned her the 2022 Women's Indoor Field Most Outstanding Performance award.
NCAA championship action will continue tomorrow in Birmingham, but Memphis track and field will go back to work in the outdoor season starting next weekend.
