MEMPHIS, Tenn. – University of Memphis senior guard Jeremiah Martin was named the HoopsHD.com American Athletic Conference Player of the Year Wednesday.
HoopsHD names a traditional first-team (two guards, two forwards, a center), along with a Player of the Year, Rookie of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, Sixth Man of the Year and Coach of the Year. East Carolina's Jayden Gardner was named Rookie of the Year, USF's Laquincy RIdeau received Defensive Player of the Year, Cincinnati's Cane Broome was Sixth Man of the Year and Houston's Kelvin Sampson was Coach of the Year.
