PROVIDENCE, R.I. – University of Memphis senior guard Jeremiah Martin earned a spot on the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll Monday for his near record-setting performance in Saturday's game at USF.
In the Tigers' 84-78 loss to the Bulls, Martin scored a career-high 41 points, one shy of the league record set by Russ Smith of Louisville in 2014. Each of Martin's 41 points came in the second half as the Tigers nearly recovered from a 25-point halftime deficit.
Martin began his barrage early in the second half after he had missed his only three shot attempts in the opening half.
