MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Two Memphis women's soccer student-athletes earned superlatives on the American Athletic Conference's Players of the Week list, the league office announced Monday afternoon.
Senior defender Stasia Mallin was named the AAC Defensive Player of the Week, while freshman midfielder Mya Jones earned Rookie of the Week honors.
Mallin began the week tying a single-game program record with four assists against Southeastern Louisiana, aiding in the Tigers' 6-0 win. The senior also scored the game-winning goal off of a direct corner kick at Central Arkansas on Sunday.
