MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The American Athletic Conference announced the regular season awards Friday, with freshman guard Madison Griggs earning a spot on the league's All-Freshman Team.
The Memphis native has had a record-breaking year for the Tigers. Griggs' records this season include:
- Most three-pointers made in a single-season by an AAC freshman (Katie Lou Samuelson, 78)
- Most three-pointers in a single-season by a Memphis (men's and women's) freshman (Tyler Harris, 79)
- Most three-pointers in a single-season by a Memphis women's basketball player (Alex Winchell, 70)
- Most three-pointers in a single game (8, twice, at Toledo and against Mississippi Valley State)
- Tied for the most three-pointers by an AAC freshman in a single game
Griggs leads the league and is first nationally among freshmen with her 88 three-pointers.
