DALLAS, Texas – Memphis freshman Jamiera Lunsford has been awarded the U-18 Golden Ball, annually given to the player who has the greatest competitive impact in the US Youth Soccer National Championships. Previous winners of the awards include former NCAA All-Americans Lindsey Tarpley and Kerri Hanks.
"Its great for Jamiera and great any time one of our players receives an honor of this caliber," Memphis head coach Brooks Monaghan said. "It shows the potential that Jamiera has. She has some special qualities about her and our hope is that she is able to transfer her success at the club level to the college level.
