Daniel Denz, a left-handed pitcher from Dundee Crown High School in Carpentersville, Ill., has signed his National Letter of Intent and will join the University of Memphis baseball squad, head coach Daron Schoenrock announced Thursday.
"In Danny, we are adding the ultimate competitor. He is a lefthander with a solid three-pitch mix, and someone with excellent work ethic who we feel can impact our pitching staff very early in his career. We are excited to welcome Danny to Memphis Tiger Baseball," Schoenrock said.
Denz has recorded 10 career wins and nine total saves as an all-area pitcher for Dundee Crown High School.
