MEMPHIS, Tenn. – After a 2-0 start to the 2019 campaign, a pair of Memphis women's soccer student-athletes were recognized by the American Athletic Conference as its players of the week, the league office announced Monday afternoon.
Junior Clarissa Larisey was named the league's Offensive Player of the Week while freshman Mya Jones claimed Rookie of the Week honors.
Larisey capped the first week of her junior campaign with four goals. The junior scored a hat trick in the Tigers' 6-0 shutout against Little Rock to open the season. Her three consecutive goals spanned 3:26 for the first hat trick in program history since 2013.
