MEMPHIS, Tenn. – After an explosive two games to begin her Memphis career, Emani Jefferson has been named to the American Athletic Conference Honor Roll for opening week.
Jefferson, who averaged 16.5 points and 5.0 rebounds over the course of the weekend, scored in double figures in both games for Memphis.
The 5-6 guard out of Miami, Fla. opened the season with 13 points against Xavier and followed it up with a career-high 20 points in the team's 89-58 win over SIUE on Sunday afternoon. Jefferson would add in 10 rebounds, seven assists and six steals over the course of 45 minutes on the court.
