PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The American Athletic Conference has announced the regular season awards, with freshman Jamirah Shutes being named to the All-Rookie Team.
The Brownsville, Tennessee native led the Tigers in points on the year, averaging 13.8 points per game in 27 appearances. Shutes led the Tigers in scoring 14 times, the most among any AAC freshman. She scored in double-figures 20 times, including five games of 20 or more points. In her Memphis debut, she scored 20 points on 14 shots, marking the first time she would score 20-plus. On December 21st, she scored a career-high 25 against Little Rock.
