James, Creighton Lead Tigers In Loss To Louisiana Tech

RUSTON, La. – The University of Memphis women's basketball team fell Thursday night on the road to Louisiana Tech by a score of 65-40 at the Thomas Assembly Center. Memphis falls to 1-2 on the year with a return trip home coming up Sunday afternoon against Southern Illinois.

How It Happened
Memphis jumped out to a 6-0 lead and held Louisiana Tech scoreless for the first four and a half minutes of the first quarter. After the Lady Techsters rallied to regain the lead, the Tigers had an answer.

Down 20-10 in the first minute of the second quarter, a Jada Stinson three-pointer ignited a 10-0 Memphis run to tie the contest up with 6:14 left in the second.
