University of Memphis sophomore punter Nick Jacobs has been named the American Athletic Conference's Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance in the Tigers' 24-17 win over USF last week.
Jacobs became the second Memphis punter in as many weeks to be named The American's Special Teams Player of the Week. Last week Spencer Smith averaged 52.7 yards on six punts as the Tigers defeated Cincinnati 53-46.
Memphis is now 5-0 and has won an unprecedented 12 games dating back to the 2014 season.
Against USF last Friday night, Jacobs pinned the Bulls inside their own 20-yard line with all six of his punts.
