MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Memphis junior running back and FBS leading rusher Darrell Henderson has been named to the Sporting News and ESPN.com Midseason All-American teams.
Henderson is the national rushing leader with 1,133 rushing yards and also the FBS scoring leader with 15 total touchdowns. He is also the nation's most explosive back, with an FBS-best 10.30 yards per carry and nine rushes of 40-plus yards.
The Batesville, Miss., product leads the country with 161.9 rushing yards per game and 205 all-purpose yards per game.
With his rushing total through seven games this season, Henderson is the ninth Tiger to eclipse the 1,000-yard mark in a single season, and is just the third Tiger all-time to rush for over 1,000 yards in multiple seasons.
