TOLEDO, Ohio – Using a combination of scorching shooting percentages and freshman Madison Griggs' record-setting day, the UofM women's basketball team defeated the Toledo Rockets, 83-76, Sunday afternoon to improve to 3-3 overall.
Griggs led the way with 24 points, one of five Tigers to score double-digit points in the win. Combined with a season-high 23 free-throws, the Memphis offense hit on all cylinders as the Tigers took the road win.
The first quarter saw the home team get off to a fast start, quickly getting out to a 12-4 lead over the Tigers.
