MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Following a decorated women's soccer career at the University of Memphis, Olivia Gauthier will take her talents overseas. The Tiger captain signed a professional contract with Lidköpings FK of Sweden, the club announced.
Gauthier, a native of Saint John, New Brunswick, will join as the club's first player from Canada in the franchise's history.
"I knew I wanted to continue playing," Gauthier said. "This was an opportunity that lined up through my agent. This was the most appealing to me based on competition and I'm excited to get started."
Gauthier earned United Soccer Coaches Second Team All-America honors to cap her career.
