MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Forty-six University of Memphis student-athletes will complete degrees on Saturday, and will be a part of the University's largest graduating class in school history. The UofM will award 2,592 degrees and certificates.
With Safer at Home restrictions still in place, an in-person commencement ceremony will not be held in May. The UofM, however, has teamed with Marching Order, a company that uses technology to enhance graduation ceremonies, to create a virtual event.
Each student was invited to upload a photo along with a personal message. The photos and messages were used to create files of those participating in the virtual ceremony.
