MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Former University of Memphis men's basketball player Raynere Thornton has earned a spot on the roster of the Memphis Hustle, the Grizzlies' NBA G League affiliate.
A 6-6 guard/forward, Thornton made the team's 13-man roster announced Monday.
During his two seasons at the UofM, Thornton, a native of Marietta, Ga., averaged 6.2 points and 5.0 rebounds. He also shot 48 percent and finished with 58 steals and 25 blocks.
Thornton scored a career-high 21 points in February 2018 against Houston and grabbed a career-best 14 rebounds in January 2019 against SMU.
